The new National Videogame Museum

Pacman, Centipede, Donkey Kong and Pong. All popular video games of the 1980s that are now memorialized in a new museum that opened its doors to the public in April. The proposed idea for the museum was made in 2014 and is now a part of the Frisco Discovery Center in Frisco.

This new museum included its fair share of old and new video games that they’ve been archiving along with other related memorabilia. The founders of the museum have been exhibiting the old games at conventions for the last 20 years.

This isn’t your typical hands-0ff museum. You are able to play most of the games on display and they even have an area devoted to old arcade machines you are able to play with tokens that you can buy at the front desk.

The National Videogame Museum and Frisco Discovery Center are located at 8004 N. Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX.
