Academic Decathlon had its regional event this past weekend.  The team ended up 2nd in the region and will continue on to state in little over a month.  The CHS team is now ranked 9th in the state.

Here are the individual student accomplishments:

Thomas Marquis & Ahkil Mulukutla with Silvers in Team Superquiz and overall team

Shanell Bagdasayants – With a silver in Science

Jason Zhu – with a perfect score gold Medal in Math

Nikhil Kumar with a gold in Interview, and bronzes in Essay and Math

Shreya Thakkar – with a bronze in Art, and silvers in Speech and Music

Johnny Hernandez – with a golds in Math, Economics and Science. Johnny was also awarded a Silver as the 2nd highest scorer across all events at the meet in his division.

Saketh Sarvepalli – with a gold in Music, silvers in Art and Social Studies, and a bronze in Science. Saketh was also awarded a medal for being the 5th highest scorer across all events at the meet in his division.
