Upcoming Music of 2015

Cristine Espinosa, Reporter

A new year has begun, which means there will be plenty of new album releases, debut albums, and comebacks to look forward to. After 2014’s hits like “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift and Maroon 5’s “Maps,” it will be difficult for 2015 to follow. However, with new artists like Fifth Harmony and Meghan Trainor on the scene, this year’s upcoming music is guaranteed not to disappoint.

Some of the new material coming out this month include both music industry giants and newbies; Meghan Trainor, Fall Out Boy, The Decemberists, and Fifth Harmony are all on the list of artists planning January album releases. Imagine Dragons will be unveiling their newest album, Smoke + Mirrors, in February, while March will bring new material from Madonna (the music legend’s next album, Rebel Heart, comes out Mar. 10) and Ludacris, whose album, Ludaversal, will be available on the thirty-first.

Many others are expected to be coming out with new tunes this year, although their album titles and release dates are yet to be announced. Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea, Ellie Goulding, Lorde, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Britney Spears, Kanye West, and Gwen Stefani are among some of the artists on this list. Clearly, there won’t be any shortage of new releases to check out in 2015. So, who are you looking forward to hearing this year?
