We’ve all heard it before “save the environment” and “recycle” and we always just shrug it off because it’s so repetitive, however we wouldn’t have to keep drilling it into your heads if you’d actually recycle correctly.

In most places at school there are two different bins to throw away your recyclable items the paper bin or the plastic bin.

As a whole, the world population uses over 80 million aluminum soda cans every year. We use around 85 million tons of paper a year–which is about 680 pounds per person. We also use around 2,500,000 plastic bottles every hour. Most of the bottles are being thrown away.  All together, Americans throw  out about 1,200 pounds of organic garbage that can be composted every year.

You can do your part, Titans. You see the bins. Use the bins.
