A Spring Break for the Books

Laura Nicolescu, Co-Editor-In-Chief

With two more weeks until spring break, many of us already made plans for how to spend the last vacation of the school year.

Yes. The last.

It’s a chance to recharge our batteries before the EOCs and AP tests bound to keep us Titans up for a few nights. But what if you don’t have anything to do? What if Netflix is the only item on your things to do list?

Here’s some ideas that can help.

Sleep. Remember what that’s like? Or relax and unwind with your favorite tunes or with meditation. Cleaning out and organizing the recycling bin aka your binders and folders early in the break is a great way to make sure you’re prepared for the start of school without having to stress the Sunday before. Limit your electronic use (Twitter, Instagram, games, etc.). Instead start on a project you’ve been putting off or spend time with your family (remember them?) and do things you haven’t been able to do because of school and homework.

But most of all, with the weather getting nicer, there is no excuse to not go outside and get some fresh air after being cooped up in a classroom all day. Here are some places, some close by, some worth the drive if you’re up for a little road trip, but all FREE, you should check out:

Go and enjoy yourselves now, Titans. Spring break will fly by faster than you can say vacation and summer is still three months away. On that depressing note, have a wonderful spring break and don’t forget to send us some pictures!
