Lone Star Storytelling Festival

The 13th annual Lone Star Storytelling Festival will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Frisco Public Library.
More than 8,000 attendees will come from Texas and neighboring states for two days and nights of family fun featuring award-winning storytellers, concerts, puppet shows, folk arts and crafts, and more stories ever told in one setting, leaving listeners spellbound.
This year’s guests are nationally recognized storytellers David Novak and Barbara McBride-Smith.

“Massaging the Story and Exercising the Listener”: This highly interactive class is intended for advanced storytellers. David Novak teaches exercises to challenge thinking and interpretive skills to use when composing stories for performance.
3:00pm – 4:30pm Master Class- Barbara McBride-Smith—$20
“Getting the Ending Right”:Learn how to wrap up your tales in such a way that no questions are left unanswered and listeners can’t wait to hear your next story.
5:00pm – 6:00pm Afternoon Stories—$5
