Over Spring Break, the Titan Speech and Debate team competed the Texas Forensic Association State Tournament. Competing against over 1,500 others and hundreds of schools from across the state of Texas, in order to be invited to the tournament, competitors had to have competed in five or more tournaments and placed at those tournaments earning a certain amount of qualification points.

Congratulations to:

Lucas Moulden- Quarter Finalist in Prose

Gary Frankel- Semi Finalist in Congress

Senior Chris Bartee won 5th place in Senate over hundreds of competitors.

In addition to those who placed, also competing were Ally Dunford, Brian Lee and Peter Chung.

Additional to the state competition, Titans learned over the break that Seniors Brian Sheehan, Daniel Grinffiel, and Chris Bartee have also been selected to represent the state of Texas and our Centennial team at the National Speech and Debate Association National Tournament in Birmingham this summer.  Overall, we now have 7 Titans attending Nationals.  This is a huge accomplishment and these students have worked incredibly hard for this honor.

Centennial is extremely proud of our Speech, Interp and Debate team and look forward to National Speech and Debate Tournament this summer!
