Tips and Tricks To Not Get Sick
February 9, 2018
Flu season is at its peak right now, and just about everyone is getting sick. This nationwide outbreak is affecting millions of Americans, leaving thousands hospitalized and even some dead. The flu is lethal for the elderly and young children, but anybody can be affected; it is an airborne respiratory illness, meaning you can get it simply by talking with someone that has it. The best way to avoid getting sick is by receiving the flu vaccine in the fall, but there are other precautions to keep you and others around you healthy and flu-free.
- Wash your hands.
- Don’t touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Don’t get close to anyone if you believe you are sick.
- Clean surfaces where germs can be transferred.
- Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing.
If you still get the flu, make sure you get lots of rest, drink plenty of fluids, and take your medication!
