Centennial vs. Independence: The Homecoming Game
FORD CENTER- The hype for homecoming could certainly be felt in the halls of Centennial last week, and this buildup of enthusiasm leads up to one big moment every year; the homecoming game.
This year, Centennial’s homecoming game was against Independence High School, and was played at the Ford Center at The Star on Friday, October 15. The game not only centered around the football game between the school, but also included performances from the Centennial Titan band, color guard, Sweethearts, and choir during the halftime show.
“It was really fun to hang out with everyone and seeing all the eighth graders,” Centennial sophomore and Titan band member Meena Ramkumar disclosed.
The performers at the game not only had fun with each other at the game but were also happy to see the abundant school spirit there.
“I’m happy that everyone came and celebrated and I feel the spirit in the stands,” Ramkumar declares.
This school spirit elevated the game for many audience members, and they felt connected to their school because of all the enthusiasm in the arena.
“The homecoming game was just super energetic and really made me feel connected to my school community,” Centennial junior and Titan Vibe member Snigdha Eleswarapu explains.
