Living Dead Obituaries

Anisha Zaman, Co-Editor-In-Chief

As apart of the Shattered Dreams program, the Living Dead is an opportunity for volunteers to emulate the devastating statistics surrounding driving while intoxicated. Every 15 minutes, somebody in the United States dies from drunk driving. Students are taken from their classrooms and declared dead for an entire day while their families write their eulogies and mourn their deaths and attend the funerals. Here are the the obituaries for the beloved students who volunteered to demonstrate the life-altering effects of underage drunk driving.

Shattered Dreams is a production put on by the school district in cooperation with other Frisco agencies. The students are actors and the events and injuries portrayed are fabricated. This is done for the education of the school and community to inform them of the dangers of driving under the influence.
