Most people have seen the “Don’t Text/Drink and Drive” ads by a lot of major companies, right?

Well, last week, during D.A.S.H. week students did exactly that.

“It simulates drinking and driving and it also simulates your ability to text and drive at the same time,” Officer Avery Jones said. “It’s as if you’ve been out drinking and you’re trying to go somewhere.”

The drinking part of the simulator involves special goggles that you put on to give the illusion of being drunk. The texting part simulates your ability to respond to texts while driving. If you crash, your turn is up.
