Frisco ISD trustees met Tuesday to review applications from eight search firms seeking to guide the district through its upcoming search to replace current Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Lyon after he announced his retirement last month.

During the special meeting, trustees narrowed their pool to four firms – Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates of Illinois, Jenny Preston Educational Consulting of Fairview, Ray & Associates of Iowa and Thompson & Horton LLP of Houston.

Each group will present proposals to the board in open session next Monday from 2 to 6 p.m.

Trustees are expected to vote on a firm later that night as part the regularly-scheduled portion of the board meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
