As the 2024-2025 school year begins, focus shifts to one of our graduating seniors, Charlotte Barrow. Barrow has been heavily involved with Centennial High School since her freshman year, and as she prepares to move on to the next chapter, we would like to take a look at some of her accomplishments and goals for this new and exciting part of her life.
Barrow has been involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities. She is currently involved as the captain of Centennial High School’s drill team (the “Sweethearts”), the president of Centennial’s chapter of FFA (Future Farmers of America), and a member of NHS (National Honors Society).
“High school has impacted me by embracing the community around you and to keep working hard despite the challenges and hardships. Especially being in Sweethearts and having a group of girls who push me every day. It has allowed me to grow as a person, dancer, and leader while also making the most amazing friendships.” Barrow says.
Barrow hopes to attend either Texas A&M in College Station, or Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She has had family attend A&M, and she loves the campus of Auburn, leading her to zero in on these two universities.
“I plan to study education to be an elementary school teacher or child-life specialist, ” Barrow said.
Barrow says her favorite parts of Centennial are all the people and teachers she has made connections and memories with. She says will miss the community of high school the most and getting to see her close friends every day, explaining that she will never forget the amazing four years she had and wants to thank everyone who has supported her through her journey.
