FISD College Fair

The FISD College Fair was Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at CHS. There was an abundance of schools handing out pamphlets, conversing with students, and overall displaying great spirit.

Each school was set up at different tables in the gyms, resembling booths that wound around the large space. There was easy access to each booth, and the representatives were very friendly and informative. The representatives handed out pamphlets about their college and some even offered pens or mini posters. They gave students information about many aspects of college life and much more. The lines to some booths were long, but the time passed fairly quickly.

Some schools, such as the University of Texas and Texas A & M University, had separate sessions held in the auditorium and the orchestra room, respectively.  They discussed admissions, majors, and scholarships in depth, and even delved into abroad programs.

The FISD College Fair was a huge success, and it was a great help to those who wanted to learn about different schools and plan ahead for their ideal future.
